Job Description

Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to lead our HR department in Nnewi, Anambra. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader who can align HR strategies with our overarching business objectives, ensuring we attract, develop, and retain top talent. The Human Resources Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR compliance.

As the HR Director, you will be instrumental in shaping our organizational culture, fostering a positive and productive work environment, and driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing expert guidance on HR-related matters and contributing to strategic decision-making. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of implementing effective HR policies and programs within a large-scale manufacturing or industrial setting, ideally within the automotive sector. Your ability to navigate complex employee relations, champion diversity and inclusion, and drive HR innovation will be critical to your success in this role. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to make a significant impact on Nigeria’s pioneering automobile manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy of Innoson IVM.
  • Oversee and manage a comprehensive talent acquisition process, from recruitment to onboarding, ensuring the attraction of high-caliber professionals.
  • Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent, ensuring compliance with local labor laws.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures, maintaining a fair and positive work environment.
  • Develop and oversee performance management systems that drive employee productivity, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Identify training and development needs across the organization and implement programs that enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date HR policies and procedures.
  • Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team, providing insights and recommendations on organizational development and change management.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create an inclusive workplace culture.
