Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR information system (HRIS) and physical files, ensuring strict compliance with all relevant data protection regulations and company policies.
- Assist comprehensively with the full recruitment life cycle, including expertly posting job advertisements, diligently screening applications, efficiently scheduling interviews, and meticulously coordinating pre-employment checks for both remote and on-site roles.
- Prepare all necessary HR-related documentation, such as professional offer letters, legally compliant employment contracts, welcoming new hire packets, and respectful termination letters.
- Support and streamline the onboarding process for all new employees, including coordinating engaging remote orientation sessions and ensuring all necessary paperwork and digital forms are completed accurately and on time.
- Handle a wide range of employee queries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits with empathy and efficiency, escalating complex issues to the appropriate HR specialist when necessary.
- Assist in the precise administration of employee benefits programs, meticulous leave management, and robust performance management processes.
- Generate various essential HR reports and insightful analyses as required, contributing valuable data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Support diverse HR projects and strategic initiatives, including process improvements, policy updates, and digital transformation efforts.
- Ensure the strictest confidentiality and integrity of all employee information and sensitive HR-related data at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as an HR Administrator or in a similar administrative support role.
- Solid understanding of core HR principles, best practices, and relevant labour legislation in South Africa.
- Advanced proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and engaging demeanor.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion and integrity.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to tasks.
- Ability to work effectively and independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
- High level of integrity, empathy, and professional ethics.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
