Career.supersecrets is offering a fantastic full-time internship opportunity for a Human Resource Clerk in our vibrant Kisii office. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the full cycle recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of all HR data.
  • Prepare HR-related documentation, such as offer letters, contracts, and internal memos.
  • Support new employee onboarding by preparing orientation materials and coordinating induction schedules.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating HR events, training sessions, and employee engagement activities.
  • Handle general administrative tasks within the HR department, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
  • Respond to routine HR inquiries from employees and escalate complex issues to senior HR staff.
  • Support HR compliance efforts by ensuring all documentation adheres to internal policies and statutory requirements.
  • Participate in special HR projects as assigned, contributing to departmental initiatives and process improvements.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field (current student or recent graduate).
  • Basic understanding of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or office support role (even voluntary or academic projects).
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) is a plus.
  • A strong interest in building a long-term career in Human Resources.
