Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team at UAC of Nigeria Plc. This role is crucial in supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of HR services across our diverse business units. As an HR Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for many employee inquiries, providing essential administrative support, and playing a key role in various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR department, including maintaining accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, from posting job advertisements and screening resumes to scheduling interviews and coordinating background checks.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new employees, including preparing offer letters, coordinating new hire paperwork, and conducting orientation sessions.
- Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with inquiries regarding benefits, policies, and procedures.
- Support employee relations activities by assisting with grievance procedures, performance management processes, and general employee support.
- Coordinate and schedule training and development programs, ensuring all necessary resources are available.
- Prepare HR-related reports and presentations as required by management.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, local labor laws, and HR regulations.
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries, providing timely and accurate information or directing them to the appropriate HR specialist.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role, preferably within a large organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of HR best practices and labor laws in Nigeria.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- CIPM certification or other recognized HR professional certifications.
