Job Description

We are seeking a proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented HR Assistant with a strong focus on recruitment support to join our corporate office in Yangoji, Abuja. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to build a career in Human Resources within a dynamic and rapidly expanding agribusiness. As an HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department, particularly in streamlining and enhancing our recruitment processes. You will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth and efficient candidate journey, from initial application to onboarding. This role requires excellent administrative skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for connecting talent with opportunity.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a blend of administrative tasks, candidate engagement, and project support within the recruitment lifecycle. You will be the first point of contact for many candidates, representing Dan-Musa Farms Limited with professionalism and warmth. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job advertisements on various platforms, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Manage and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) or internal databases with candidate information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate pre-employment activities such as reference checks, background checks, and verification of qualifications.
  • Prepare offer letters, employment contracts, and other onboarding documentation for new hires.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely updates and answering inquiries.
  • Support the HR team in organizing and coordinating recruitment events, career fairs, and assessment centers.
  • Maintain and organize HR files, records, and documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Assist with HR administrative tasks, including data entry, report generation, and preparation of HR-related correspondence.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures, particularly within recruitment.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative or HR support role, preferably with recruitment exposure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or HRIS platforms.
  • Experience working in the agricultural sector or a large-scale corporate environment.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., a foundational HR certification).
