Job Description
We are actively seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our esteemed team at Virunga Inn Resort & Spa. Your role involves a comprehensive range of tasks, from meticulously cleaning and preparing guest rooms to assisting with laundry and maintaining inventory. Key Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms and suites to the highest standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms and fixtures.
- Replenish guest room amenities, linens, and supplies according to hotel standards.
- Clean and maintain public areas of the hotel, such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common facilities, ensuring they are always presentable.
- Operate various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuum cleaners, carpet shampooers, and floor buffers.
- Handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items in rooms or public areas to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels.
- Maintain organized and clean housekeeping carts and supply closets.
- Adhere to hotel policies and procedures, including those for guest privacy and security.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, delivering extra amenities or services as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest service.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to clean and maintain various surfaces to a high standard.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, push, and pull.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) in hotel housekeeping or a similar cleaning role.
