Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and service-oriented Hotel Waiters to join our esteemed Food & Beverage team at InterContinental Fujairah Resort. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and seat them promptly according to restaurant standards.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and offer recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary needs.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen/bar staff efficiently using the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages with elegance and precision, ensuring correct presentation and optimal temperature.
- Clear tables efficiently and reset them promptly for the next guests, maintaining a clean and inviting dining area.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal and address any concerns or requests proactively and professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Handle guest payments, process transactions accurately, and manage cash handling procedures according to company policy.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service team members to ensure seamless and harmonious service delivery.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down for special events or banquets as required, ensuring all equipment is handled with care.
- Upsell menu items and promotions where appropriate to enhance the guest experience and generate additional revenue.
- Provide expert knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information to guests.

- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of proven experience as a Waiter or Server in a 4-star or 5-star hotel/resort environment.
- Proficiency in English is essential; additional language skills (e.g., Arabic, Russian, German, Chinese) are a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with standard Point of Sale (POS) systems (e.g., Micros, Opera) commonly used in luxury hospitality.
- Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations and best practices.
- A hospitality-related certificate or diploma from a recognized institution.
