Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various menu items, following recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Ensure all food preparation and cooking areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any malfunctions.
- Receive and store deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation and minimizing waste.
- Perform dishwashing duties and maintain cleanliness of all crockery, cutlery, and kitchen utensils.
- Support head chefs and cooks in daily operations, including mise en place and ingredient preparation.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Contribute to a positive and cooperative team environment, communicating effectively with colleagues.
- Assist with inventory management and reporting as required.
- Be proactive in identifying and addressing any issues that may affect kitchen efficiency or food quality.
