Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and work surfaces.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machinery efficiently, ensuring all crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
- Assist with the basic preparation of food items as directed by chefs, such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables.
- Handle and store food supplies correctly, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Manage waste disposal effectively, ensuring bins are emptied regularly and waste is sorted appropriately.
- Assist in receiving and unpacking deliveries, ensuring goods are stored in the correct locations.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with any ad-hoc duties to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Report any maintenance issues or faulty equipment to the kitchen management promptly.
- Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Contribute to a positive and cooperative working environment within the kitchen team.
