Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff within the staff lodging areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of all staff rooms and common areas to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures for staff accommodation.
- Train new housekeeping staff and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of staff room occupancy, cleaning schedules, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Handle guest (staff) complaints or requests regarding lodging cleanliness or amenities promptly and professionally.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for the housekeeping team.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality setting.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Knowledge of various cleaning chemicals, tools, and methods.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., for scheduling and inventory management).
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- OND or HND in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Certification in Housekeeping Operations or Hygiene and Sanitation.
- Familiarity with hotel management software.
- First Aid and Safety certification.
