Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of staff lodging facilities for a prominent hotel partner in Iyana Ipaja, Alimosho. This is a critical role that ensures our dedicated staff enjoy a comfortable, clean, and well-maintained living environment, reflecting the high standards of our esteemed hospitality partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a small team of housekeeping attendants dedicated specifically to employee accommodation areas, including rooms, common areas, and shared facilities that are part of the ‘room & board’ package.
This position demands exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to health and safety protocols. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing efficient cleaning schedules, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards. Beyond the day-to-day operations, you will play a vital role in inventory management of cleaning supplies and linen, identifying maintenance needs, and fostering a positive and productive work environment for your team. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff assigned to staff lodging facilities.
- Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules for staff rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and laundry facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections of all staff lodging areas to ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, chemical usage, safety procedures, and hotel policies related to staff accommodation.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, amenities, and linen for staff lodging; place orders as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Report and follow up on maintenance issues, repairs, and damages within the staff lodging facilities.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals and equipment, complying with COSHH regulations.
- Handle staff requests and complaints regarding lodging conditions efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, cleaning schedules, and maintenance reports.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, respect, and high performance within the housekeeping team.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleaning efforts as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role in a hotel or residential setting.
- Excellent knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and equipment.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to accommodation facilities.

Preferred Qualifications
- OND or HND in Hospitality Management or a related field.
