Key Responsibilities
- Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms and public areas (e.g., lobbies, corridors, restrooms) to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replace used towels with fresh ones daily.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust furniture and fixtures in all assigned areas.
- Replenish room amenities, including toiletries, coffee, and stationery, ensuring all items are well-stocked and presented neatly.
- Inspect rooms thoroughly for maintenance issues, damage, or missing items and report them promptly to supervisors for resolution.
- Handle guest requests and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, escalating complex issues when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Manage laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens and towels, ensuring a continuous supply.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping storage areas and carts, ensuring all supplies are easily accessible.
- Collaborate effectively with front desk and maintenance teams to ensure smooth hotel operations and a seamless guest experience.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in housekeeping or general cleaning roles, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to all cleaning tasks.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time to complete assigned duties within schedules.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, pushing, and standing for extended periods.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of health and safety standards pertinent to a hotel environment.
