Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome and assist all hotel guests, making them feel valued and comfortable upon arrival and throughout their stay.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information on local attractions, dining, shopping, entertainment options, and cultural sites in Umm Al Quwain and across the UAE.
- Efficiently handle guest requests, including making reservations for tours, restaurants, transportation (taxis, car rentals), and other bespoke services.
- Act as a local expert, offering personalized recommendations tailored to individual guest preferences and interests.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly, professionally, and courteously, ensuring satisfactory resolutions and upholding service standards.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of all hotel services, facilities, daily events, and special promotions.
- Assist with luggage handling and storage, coordinating seamlessly with bell desk staff as needed to ensure smooth transitions.
- Coordinate effectively with other hotel departments (Front Desk, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage) to fulfill guest needs and resolve issues swiftly.
- Maintain a tidy, organized, and presentable concierge desk area, ensuring all brochures, maps, and information materials are current and accessible.
- Stay informed about current events, local happenings, weather conditions, and logistical information relevant to guests' stays.
- Facilitate guest check-in and check-out processes as required, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, messages, and packages for guests with utmost discretion and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in a customer service or guest-facing role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, demonstrating clarity and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable, and empathetic demeanor.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to guest satisfaction.
- High level of organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively and work efficiently under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

- In-depth knowledge of Umm Al Quwain and other major UAE tourist destinations and attractions.
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) and concierge software.
- Previous experience specifically as a Concierge Assistant or Front Desk Agent in a reputable hotel.
