Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and speed.
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Manage cash and card transactions accurately, handling payment processing.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and assist with stock rotation.
- Develop and introduce new and innovative cocktail recipes.
- Ensure all guests receive exceptional service and an enjoyable experience.
- Collaborate with the management team and other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all local and hotel policies regarding alcohol service and responsible beverage consumption.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the bar for opening and closing shifts.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bartender in a hotel or high-volume bar setting (2+ years)
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail preparation techniques.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg.
- Fluent in English (Kinyarwanda is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from a reputable bartending school.
- Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
