Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
- Help clients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure comfort and safety.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, assisting with feeding as required, and adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, tidying living spaces, and ensuring a clean environment.
- Provide medication reminders and assist clients in managing their prescribed routines.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversation and recreational activities.
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social outings, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical, mental, or emotional condition to the care coordinator.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and client observations.
- Adhere strictly to individualized care plans, privacy regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and respectful environment for clients at all times.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and patience towards elderly or vulnerable individuals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and their families.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and implement care plans effectively.
- Basic understanding of health and safety protocols in a home environment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and perform light household duties.
- Cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to individual client needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) in home health care, elder care, or a similar support role.
- Relevant certifications such as First Aid, CPR, or a Health and Social Care qualification.

- Fluency in Igbo is a significant advantage.
