Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure timely administration as per care plan.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities such as conversation, games, or outings.
- Escort clients to appointments, errands, or social activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's health, behaviour, or living conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and client observations.
- Adhere strictly to all Amadea Care policies and procedures, ensuring client safety and well-being.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organized.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and transfer as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant Caregiver certificate or Home-Based Care qualification.
- At least 6 months of verifiable experience in a home care or healthcare setting.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- CPR certification.
- Ability to communicate in Afrikaans (beneficial for local clients).
