Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy buses for the transportation of personnel (employees, contractors, visitors) to designated locations, including remote sites.
- Adhere strictly to assigned routes, schedules, and timing requirements, ensuring punctuality.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, reporting any defects, damages, or maintenance needs promptly to the supervisor.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
- Ensure all passengers comply with safety procedures, including mandatory seatbelt usage and designated seating arrangements.
- Operate the vehicle in strict compliance with all UAE traffic laws and regulations, as well as company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or accidents.
- Respond professionally and calmly to emergencies or breakdowns, following established company and regulatory protocols.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, especially those with special needs or mobility challenges, as required.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatchers, supervisors, and passengers.
- Manage passenger manifests and verify identities as per security protocols for site access.
Required Skills
- Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driving License (or equivalent international license transferable to UAE, with proven track record).
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Heavy Bus Operator, preferably in a commercial, industrial, or construction setting.
- Strong understanding of UAE traffic laws, road safety regulations, and defensive driving techniques.
- Excellent defensive driving skills and a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections, identify minor mechanical issues, and conduct emergency roadside repairs.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking) for effective communication and understanding safety instructions.
- Physical fitness, stamina, and resilience to handle long driving hours and demanding environmental conditions.
