Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Healthcare Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team in Okpuno, Anambra. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the efficient flow of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to our clients while maintaining optimal inventory levels. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying and resolving potential supply chain challenges and possess a thorough understanding of healthcare logistics and regulatory requirements. This role involves direct interaction with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and healthcare facilities, demanding excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement processes, tracking inventory, forecasting demand, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. A keen eye for detail is paramount to ensure the accuracy of inventory records and the efficient management of our supply chain. This role presents an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a rapidly expanding company in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage inventory levels to meet client demand while minimizing stockouts and waste.
  • Forecast demand for medical supplies and equipment, considering seasonal variations and other relevant factors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Resolve supply chain challenges and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage relationships with logistics providers and ensure timely delivery of supplies.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or a similar certification.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
