Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Professional to join our esteemed team at Clínica Especializada de Maputo. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about making a tangible difference in patients’ lives through direct clinical care, education, and support. As a Healthcare Professional at CEM, you will be instrumental in providing primary or specialized medical services, conducting patient assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient outcomes. You will work within a modern, well-equipped clinic environment, utilizing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tools. Your ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families, coupled with a strong commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional development, will be crucial. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic interpretations.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
  • Administer medications, perform medical procedures, and provide necessary interventions with precision and care.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and treatment protocols.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential patient records in accordance with institutional policies and national regulations.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases, contribute to care planning, and improve service delivery.
  • Adhere strictly to all medical ethics, professional standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.
  • Stay abreast of the latest medical advancements and best practices through ongoing education and training.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a relevant healthcare field (e.g., Nursing, Medicine, Physiotherapy).
  • Valid professional license/registration to practice in Mozambique.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with fluency in Portuguese.
  • Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and patient-centered care approach.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for record keeping and communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or specialization in a particular medical field.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Proficiency in English or other local Mozambican languages.
  • Certifications in specialized areas such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Prior experience working in a private healthcare setting in Mozambique.
