Job Description
Are you a seasoned Health & Safety professional with a passion for creating impregnable safety cultures within industrial environments? Career.supersecrets, on behalf of our esteemed client operating a dynamic industrial estate in Mararaba, Abuja, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health & Safety Officer. This isn’t just a compliance role; it’s an opportunity to be the cornerstone of a proactive safety framework, safeguarding personnel, assets, and operational continuity.
In this pivotal professional capacity, you will be instrumental in fostering a workplace where safety is not merely a policy, but an ingrained value. The industrial estate environment presents unique challenges, from heavy machinery and complex processes to diverse contractor engagement and logistics. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating these complexities, identifying potential hazards before they escalate, and implementing robust preventive measures. You will lead the charge in developing and continuously refining comprehensive health and safety management systems that align with both national regulations and international best practices.
Beyond regulatory adherence, this role demands a visionary approach to safety education and engagement. You will be responsible for designing and delivering compelling training programs that empower every employee, from the shop floor to senior management, to be a steward of safety. Incident investigation will be a critical component, requiring meticulous analysis to uncover root causes and implement corrective actions that genuinely prevent recurrence, rather than just treating symptoms.
