The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of industrial operations and a proven track record of developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive H&S programs that mitigate risks and promote a proactive safety culture.
In this challenging position, you will be the driving force behind a robust safety management system. Your primary objective will be to identify, assess, and control hazards associated with industrial processes, machinery, chemical handling, and site logistics. You will be responsible for formulating and enforcing safety policies and procedures in line with national (OSHA, Factories Act) and international best practices, ensuring all operations meet legal and ethical standards. A significant aspect of this role involves spearheading engaging and effective safety training programs for employees at all levels, fostering a collective ownership of safety protocols and emergency preparedness.
Beyond compliance, you will play a crucial role in incident management, including thorough investigation of accidents, near-misses, and occupational illnesses to determine root causes and implement sustainable corrective and preventative actions. You will maintain meticulous records of all safety-related activities, incidents, and training, preparing detailed reports for senior management and regulatory bodies. Collaboration with department heads, facility managers, and external stakeholders will be essential to integrate safety considerations into all operational planning and project execution.
