Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust Health & Safety policies, procedures, and management systems in alignment with relevant national and international standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identifications, and safety audits across the industrial estate to identify potential dangers and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and national health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.
- Organize and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for employees and contractors, promoting a strong safety-conscious culture.
- Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and implementing preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
- Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and inspection of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety apparatus.
- Manage emergency preparedness and response plans, including fire drills, first aid provisions, and evacuation procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all safety inspections, incidents, training, and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with industrial tenants and management to integrate safety considerations into operational planning and facility modifications.
- Advise management on health and safety performance, trends, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Officer, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian health and safety legislation and international best practices (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH).
- Expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and H&S management software.

Preferred Qualifications
