Career.supersecrets is actively searching for a highly competent and experienced Health & Safety Officer to join a leading industrial estate in the vibrant Jabi Lake Mall area of Abuja. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a robust understanding of occupational safety principles and a proven track record in dynamic industrial settings to make a significant and lasting impact.

In this crucial professional role, you will be the driving force behind ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment across various operations within the industrial estate. Your primary mission will be to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks, thereby preventing accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses. You will be instrumental in fostering a strong, positive safety culture that permeates every level of the workforce, ensuring that safety is not just a policy, but an ingrained value. Your expertise will be essential in not only meeting strict regulatory requirements but also in exceeding industry best practices, protecting human life, safeguarding valuable assets, and ensuring business continuity.

The industrial estate environment presents unique challenges and opportunities, requiring a meticulous, adaptable, and comprehensive approach to risk management across diverse operations ranging from complex manufacturing processes to large-scale logistics and warehousing. Beyond mere compliance, a significant and engaging part of your role will involve education, empowerment, and strategic input. You will design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective safety training programs for employees at all levels, enhancing their awareness, competency, and promoting responsible work practices. Furthermore, you will lead meticulous incident and accident investigations, methodically identifying root causes, developing robust corrective and preventive actions, and ensuring their effective implementation to prevent recurrence. Your ability to communicate complex safety information clearly, concisely, and persuasively to diverse audiences, from shop floor personnel and contractors to senior management and external stakeholders, will be paramount. This role is not just about identifying hazards; it’s about inspiring a collective commitment to safety, building trust through consistent advocacy, and continuously striving for a zero-harm environment. You will serve as a key advisor to management on all health and safety matters, contributing to strategic planning and operational excellence. If you are passionate about occupational safety, possess strong leadership qualities, and are ready to take on a challenging yet immensely rewarding professional role, we strongly encourage you to apply.
