Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, strimming, edging, and leaf blowing across various sites.
- Undertake planting, pruning, weeding, and watering of flower beds, shrubs, and trees to maintain their health and appearance.
- Maintain hard surfaces such as pathways, car parks, and play areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and free from debris.
- Operate and maintain a range of grounds maintenance equipment and machinery, including ride-on mowers, hedge trimmers, and power washers.
- Identify and report any issues or damage to grounds or equipment, recommending solutions where appropriate.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as gritting and snow clearance during winter months to ensure safety.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor the health of plants and turf, applying appropriate treatments for pests, diseases, or weeds as necessary.
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the grounds, including litter picking and waste removal.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and project completion.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in grounds maintenance or a similar horticultural role.
