Job Description
This full-time Grounds Maintenance Worker role at Career.supersecrets offers an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and energetic individual passionate about preserving and enhancing outdoor environments across Bradford, West Yorkshire. You will be a vital member of our team, responsible for ensuring the pristine condition and aesthetic appeal of a diverse range of properties, including public parks, commercial landscapes, educational facilities, and residential developments. We believe that well-maintained grounds are more than just pretty; they contribute significantly to community pride, ecological health, and the overall quality of life.
Your daily routine will be dynamic and varied, adapting to seasonal requirements and specific site needs. During spring and summer, your focus will shift towards meticulous lawn care, including mowing, edging, and fertilising, along with planting vibrant floral displays and managing irrigation systems. As autumn arrives, you’ll be involved in extensive leaf clearing, pruning shrubs and trees, and preparing grounds for the colder months. Winter duties will encompass general site tidy-ups, basic repairs, and ensuring pathways remain clear and safe, potentially including snow removal and gritting during adverse weather.
Operating a variety of grounds maintenance equipment, such as mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers, will be a regular part of your tasks. Adherence to strict health and safety protocols is paramount in all operations, ensuring your own well-being and that of your colleagues and the public. We are looking for someone who takes immense pride in their work, possesses a keen eye for detail, and is committed to delivering consistent, high-quality results. This role is perfect for an individual who thrives outdoors, enjoys physical work, and is eager to contribute to the beautification and functionality of local green spaces. At Career.supersecrets, you won’t just be maintaining grounds; you’ll be cultivating environments where communities thrive, and nature flourishes. Join us in making a tangible difference to the landscape of Bradford.
