We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grinding Mill Operator to join our dynamic production team in Bauchi. As a Grinding Mill Operator, you will be a critical part of our cement manufacturing process, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of grinding mills and associated equipment. Your primary goal will be to ensure the continuous and optimal performance of our grinding systems, producing high-quality cement that meets stringent specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor grinding mills and related equipment (e.g., feeders, conveyors, separators) according to standard operating procedures.
- Adjust mill parameters (feed rates, grinding aids, air flow) to achieve desired product fineness and quality.
- Conduct regular visual inspections of machinery and report any abnormalities, malfunctions, or wear and tear.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and minor adjustments.
- Collect and analyze samples to ensure product quality adheres to specified standards.
- Maintain accurate operational logs, production records, and downtime reports.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to optimize production flow and efficiency.
- Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy industrial machinery, preferably grinding mills or similar equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, gauges, and control panel readings.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of industrial safety protocols and procedures.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing setting.
