Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Green Building Design Engineer to join our team in Utako, Abuja. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of sustainable building practices, energy efficiency, and green building certifications (such as LEED). This role requires a proactive individual with excellent design and technical skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of green building projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability standards. The role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the advancement of sustainable construction in Nigeria. You will be working alongside a team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to delivering innovative and environmentally conscious building designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop sustainable building designs that meet client requirements and environmental standards.
- Conduct energy modeling and analysis to optimize energy efficiency.
- Select and specify sustainable building materials and technologies.
- Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, such as architects, structural engineers, and MEP engineers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress.
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for green building projects.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in green building technology and practices.
- Prepare presentations and proposals for clients.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software
- Strong understanding of green building principles and certifications (LEED preferred)
- Experience in energy modeling and analysis
- Knowledge of sustainable building materials and technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively

- Project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Green Building Design, Architectural Engineering, or a related field
- Professional engineering license
