Key Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and evaluate potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources aligning with the Foundation's mission.
- Write, edit, and submit high-quality, persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and concept papers, adhering to strict guidelines and deadlines.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive grant calendar, tracking deadlines, submissions, reporting requirements, and follow-up activities.
- Collaborate closely with program directors, leadership, and finance teams to gather necessary information, data, and compelling success stories for proposals.
- Ensure all grant applications are compliant with funder guidelines, organizational policies, and ethical fundraising standards.
- Prepare compelling and accurate reports for existing grants, demonstrating accountability, measurable outcomes, and impact to funders.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date records of all grant-related activities, communications, and documentation in a centralized database.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with grant officers and program staff at funding organizations, serving as a primary point of contact.
- Stay informed about current trends in philanthropy, public funding, community health initiatives, and best practices in grant writing.
- Assist in the development of compelling marketing and communication materials to support fundraising efforts when needed.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Non-Profit Management, Public Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in grant writing and successful grant acquisition, preferably within the non-profit sector and/or healthcare.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to research, synthesize complex information, and translate it into persuasive, funder-specific proposals.
