Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
- Handle cash, debit, and credit card payments, providing correct change and receipts.
- Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and provide information about products and services.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
- Assist with stock replenishment and merchandising as needed to support store operations.
- Resolve customer complaints professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding cash handling and security.
- Promote loyalty programs or special offers to customers.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales targets and operational goals.
- Perform daily opening and closing duties for the till and workstation.
- Conduct daily reconciliations of cash and card transactions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cash handling and operating a Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong numerical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively and maintain composure in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic.
