Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing treatments.
- Assess patient health status, document observations, and report changes to physicians.
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and medical interventions.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventative care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and participate in resuscitation efforts.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment safely and efficiently.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
Required Skills
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mozambique.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Nurse in a clinical setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for record keeping.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Fluency in Portuguese, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Specialized training or experience in Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care, or Pediatrics.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of other local languages is a plus.
