Key Responsibilities
- Translate various real estate-specific documents and content (e.g., detailed property descriptions, compelling marketing materials, legal disclosures, client emails, engaging website copy) from English into designated target languages and vice versa.
- Ensure the utmost accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and linguistic quality of all translated materials, meticulously maintaining the original meaning, context, and the distinctive brand tone.
- Conduct thorough and rigorous proofreading and editing of translations to meticulously eliminate grammatical errors, typos, stylistic inconsistencies, and ensure overall coherence.
- Efficiently manage multiple translation projects simultaneously, consistently adhering to specified deadlines and client specifications.
- Utilize advanced Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, Wordfast) and terminology management (TMG) systems effectively to ensure consistency and enhance efficiency across projects.
- Conduct comprehensive research into industry-specific terminology and real estate concepts to guarantee precise and accurate translation of specialized jargon.
- Communicate proactively and transparently with project managers regarding project progress, potential challenges, and any queries that may arise.
- Strictly maintain confidentiality and uphold data security protocols for all sensitive client and company information.
Required Skills
- Native-level fluency in at least one target language (e.g., German, French, Mandarin, Afrikaans, isiXhosa) in addition to exceptional English proficiency (C2 level or equivalent).
- A minimum of 2 years (24 months) of proven experience as a professional translator, specifically with project-based or freelance work.
- Excellent written communication skills, demonstrating mastery in both source and target languages.
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to adeptly adapt content for specific target audiences.
- Proficiency in leading CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools (e.g., SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, Wordfast).

- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, professional workspace.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines independently.
Preferred Qualifications
