We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Forensic Accountant to join our dynamic team in Kenhardt, Northern Cape. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial investigations into suspected fraud, embezzlement, and other financial irregularities.
- Analyze complex financial data, records, and transactions to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential misconduct.
- Prepare detailed, well-supported forensic accounting reports and present findings to management, legal counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of anti-fraud policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Liaise with legal professionals, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies as required during investigations.
- Provide expert witness testimony in legal proceedings, clearly explaining complex financial matters.
- Perform due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions, assessing financial risks.
- Reconstruct incomplete or damaged financial records to provide comprehensive financial pictures.
- Stay current with forensic accounting best practices, laws, and regulatory changes.
- Support the internal audit function with specialized forensic accounting expertise.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Forensic Accountant or in a similar investigative financial role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial regulations.
- Expertise in fraud detection, investigation techniques, and financial data analysis.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial issues clearly.
- High ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
