Job Description
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc is seeking a skilled and experienced Food Processing Technician to join our Uyo facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of food processing equipment, maintaining high standards of hygiene and product quality, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment. This role requires a hands-on approach, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to adhering to strict safety and quality protocols. The successful candidate will be part of a team that produces a wide variety of food products, contributing directly to the company’s success. You will work closely with other technicians, supervisors, and quality control personnel to ensure smooth operations. Daily tasks will involve operating and maintaining processing equipment, performing quality checks, troubleshooting issues, and adhering to strict hygiene and safety regulations. This role demands both technical expertise and a team-oriented approach, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality production. The ability to understand and follow detailed instructions is essential, as is the ability to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies within the food processing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain food processing machinery and equipment.
- Perform regular quality checks on raw materials and finished products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of production data.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve production targets.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas.
