Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Planning Associate to join our dynamic Wealth Management team in Seoul. This role is crucial in supporting our senior financial advisors in delivering exceptional financial planning services to our valued individual and corporate clients. As a Financial Planning Associate, you will play a pivotal role in the preparation, analysis, and execution of comprehensive financial plans, ensuring that our clients’ financial goals are met with tailored strategies. You will work closely with advisors to gather client data, conduct in-depth financial analyses, develop projection models, and prepare client-facing presentations and reports. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of financial planning, including investment management, retirement planning, education funding, risk management, and estate planning. You will be instrumental in maintaining client relationships, responding to inquiries, and assisting with portfolio reviews. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve financial well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior financial advisors in the development and implementation of comprehensive financial plans for clients.
  • Gather and organize client financial data, including assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and insurance policies.
  • Conduct financial analysis, scenario planning, and projection modeling using various financial planning software tools.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and client proposals for review by advisors.
  • Research investment products, insurance options, and other financial instruments to support client recommendations.
  • Help prepare for client meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and materials assembly.
  • Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and respond to routine inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay informed about financial market trends, economic indicators, and changes in tax and financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including investment management, credit, and legal departments, to ensure seamless client service.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Korean.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Foundational understanding of financial planning principles, investment concepts, and economic trends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (2+ years) in a financial services role, preferably in wealth management or financial planning.
  • Progress towards CFP® certification or other relevant financial designations (e.g., CFA, CPA).
  • Familiarity with financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, NaviPlan, or similar).
  • Knowledge of Korean financial regulations and market specifics.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
