Job Description

Are you looking to kickstart a rewarding career where you can make a tangible difference in your community? Cadent Gas is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Field Officers. This is an incredible opportunity for someone passionate about practical work, safety, and customer service, with a desire to learn and grow within the vital energy sector.

As a Field Officer, you will be the eyes and ears of Cadent Gas on the ground, playing a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and safety of our extensive gas network. You will primarily be responsible for routine inspections, data collection, and first-line response activities across a designated geographical area. This role involves significant outdoor work in various weather conditions and requires a proactive approach to identifying potential issues and ensuring compliance with stringent safety standards.

We don’t expect you to be an expert from day one; we are looking for potential. Full, comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the knowledge and skills required to excel in this essential role. You will learn about gas network operations, advanced safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and best practices for customer and public interaction. This position offers a clear career path for those who demonstrate commitment and a desire for continuous development, potentially leading to specialised technician roles, engineering positions, or supervisory opportunities within Cadent. If you are a motivated individual with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and an unwavering commitment to safety, we encourage you to apply. This is more than just a job; it’s a chance to contribute significantly to the nation’s energy security and be part of a company that truly values its people and their professional development.
