Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage daily farm operations including planting, cultivation, harvesting, and post-harvest activities for various crops.
- Oversee the care and health of livestock, ensuring proper feeding, housing, and veterinary attention.
- Develop and implement sustainable farming practices, including crop rotation, organic fertilization, and efficient water management.
- Manage farm resources, including equipment, machinery, and supplies, ensuring their proper maintenance and efficient use.
- Recruit, train, and supervise farm staff, fostering a productive and safe working environment.
- Monitor crop and livestock health, identifying and addressing issues such as pests, diseases, and nutritional deficiencies.
- Prepare and manage farm budgets, maintain accurate records of expenses, income, and production data.
- Identify market opportunities and establish supply chains for farm produce, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations, health and safety standards.
- Implement innovative techniques to improve farm productivity, sustainability, and profitability.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in small-scale farm management (at least 3 years)
