Key Responsibilities
- Assist production line workers and machine operators with various tasks as needed.
- Load and unload materials, products, and equipment manually or using basic lifting aids.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Perform basic quality control checks on products to ensure they meet specified standards.
- Transport finished goods or raw materials within the factory floor using trolleys or pallet jacks.
- Operate basic machinery or hand tools under supervision after receiving proper training.
- Adhere strictly to all factory safety regulations and standard operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 25kg) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles and practices.
- Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a factory, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment (even if informal).
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and/or Igbo.
- Basic literacy (ability to read and write simple instructions).
- Familiarity with simple hand tools and basic machinery operation.
