We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Export/Import Executive to join our dynamic team in Fujairah. This pivotal role involves overseeing the end-to-end execution of export and import operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and optimizing logistics processes for our diverse client portfolio. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute all aspects of export and import documentation, including preparing shipping instructions, booking confirmations, bills of lading, airway bills, customs declarations, and other relevant paperwork.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, and trucking companies for timely pick-up, dispatch, and delivery of goods.
- Ensure full compliance with all local and international customs regulations, trade laws, and company policies.
- Liaise with customs authorities for timely clearance of goods, resolving any issues related to duties, tariffs, and prohibited items.
- Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, providing regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Negotiate freight rates and service terms with carriers and suppliers to secure the best possible solutions for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, shipments, and communications in the company's logistics management system.
- Address and resolve any logistical challenges, discrepancies, or delays that may arise during the shipping process.
- Prepare reports on shipment status, costs, and performance metrics for management review.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Stay updated on changes in international trade regulations, customs laws, and market trends.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in export and import operations, documentation, and customs clearance.
- Strong knowledge of international trade terms (Incoterms), shipping procedures, and freight forwarding.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and logistics software/ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving aptitude and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
- Certification in Customs Brokerage or International Trade.
- Fluency in Arabic is an advantage, though not mandatory.
- Experience with Dangerous Goods (DG) handling and documentation.
