Job Description
Career.supersecrets is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to join a thriving educational institution within Ondo, Ondo. Your day-to-day will involve individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and developing tailored support plans. Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to students regarding academic, social, emotional, and personal issues.
- Develop and implement comprehensive school counseling programs focusing on prevention and intervention.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student learning and address behavioral concerns.
- Conduct classroom guidance lessons on topics such as conflict resolution, career exploration, and healthy decision-making.
- Administer and interpret various assessments to identify student strengths and areas for development.
- Facilitate referrals to external resources and mental health professionals when necessary.
- Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student support plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines.
- Respond effectively to crisis situations, providing immediate support and appropriate referrals.
- Organize and lead workshops for parents on relevant topics such as parenting skills and academic success strategies.
