Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, blow-drying, colouring (highlights, lowlights, full colour), perms, and various hair treatments.
- Execute comprehensive beauty treatments such as manicures, pedicures, gel overlays, waxing (all areas), tinting, facials (including advanced treatments), and various massage techniques.
- Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their needs, preferences, and recommend suitable services and products.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized workstation and treatment rooms in accordance with Sorbet's high standards and health regulations.
- Actively promote and sell retail products suitable for clients’ hair and skin types, contributing to salon sales targets.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and relaxing experience for all guests.
- Stay updated with the latest hair and beauty trends, techniques, and product knowledge through continuous learning and salon training.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently and assist with general salon duties as required.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, encouraging repeat business and referrals.
- Handle client feedback professionally and resolve any concerns to ensure complete satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience as a qualified Hair Stylist and Beauty Therapist.
- Proven expertise in a wide range of hair cutting, styling, and advanced colouring techniques.
- Proficiency in performing various beauty treatments including nails (manicures, pedicures, gel), waxing, facials, and massage.
- Valid qualification/certification from a recognized beauty or hairdressing academy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong client-centric approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications in specialized beauty treatments (e.g., advanced facials, specific massage modalities, lash extensions).
- Experience with Sorbet product ranges (e.g., Environ, Dermalogica, Morgan Taylor, Essie, Redken).
- A strong existing client base or proven ability to build one.
- Familiarity with salon management software and booking systems.
