Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Auditor to join our dynamic Audit & Assurance team in Abuja. As an Experienced Auditor, you will play a crucial role in leading and executing audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring adherence to established timelines and budgets.
- Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements, disclosures, and supporting documentation in accordance with IFRS and ISA.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of clients' internal control systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive audit working papers and reports, documenting findings and recommendations.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to junior audit staff, fostering their professional development.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs and providing exceptional client service.
- Communicate audit findings, risks, and recommendations to clients and engagement partners in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, auditing pronouncements, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies and processes within the firm.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in external auditing within a professional services firm.
- Full professional qualification (ACA or ACCA).
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
- Strong ethical conduct and commitment to professional integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
