Schmittinger and Rodriguez, P.A. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Attorney to join our dynamic legal team in Dover, Delaware. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload from inception to resolution, including personal injury, workers' compensation, civil litigation, or other relevant practice areas.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, striving for the best possible outcomes.
- Provide clear, concise, and timely legal advice to clients, ensuring they are well-informed at every stage of their case.
- Collaborate with legal support staff, paralegals, and other attorneys to ensure efficient case management.
- Stay current with changes in relevant laws and regulations.
Required Skills
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Delaware State Bar.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing law, preferably in civil litigation, personal injury, or workers' compensation.
- Proven track record of successful case management and client representation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong advocacy abilities.
- Superior analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal research software (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and Microsoft Office Suite.
