EP Hotel Rwamagana is immediately seeking a dedicated and energetic Event Cleaner to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time, on-site position for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take immense pride in maintaining impeccable cleanliness standards. As an Event Cleaner specializing in ‘quick service’, you will be crucial to the seamless execution of various events hosted at our hotel, from conferences and weddings to social gatherings. Your primary role will involve rapid and thorough cleaning and tidying of event spaces before, during, and immediately after events, often under tight schedules. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team to ensure all areas meet our high standards of hygiene and presentation. You will be responsible for setting up and dismantling cleaning equipment efficiently, managing waste, and responding promptly to any cleaning needs that arise during an event. Key Responsibilities
- Perform rapid and thorough cleaning of event spaces, including halls, meeting rooms, and common areas, before, during, and after events.
- Ensure all surfaces, floors, fixtures, and furniture are sparkling clean and well-maintained.
- Quickly respond to spills, messes, and other cleaning emergencies during events to minimize disruption.
- Empty waste bins and manage waste disposal according to hotel guidelines.
- Restock supplies (e.g., toilet paper, soap) in restrooms and other relevant areas.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with the events and operations teams to ensure smooth transitions between events.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed during cleaning tasks.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene standards and procedures.
- Assist with basic setup or breakdown tasks related to event cleanliness, such as arranging chairs or tables if required by event flow.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, preferably within a hospitality or event setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, lifting, and pushing.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
