Key Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas.
- Help prepare classroom materials and resources, ensuring a tidy and stimulating learning environment.
- Supervise students during lessons, break times, and school trips, promoting positive behaviour and safety.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities under the guidance of the teacher.
- Listen to students read and assist with reading comprehension activities.
- Assist with classroom management and maintain discipline in line with school policies.
- Provide feedback to the class teacher on student progress and behaviour.
- Support students' social and emotional development, encouraging participation and confidence.
- Undertake administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and displaying student work.
