Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons, preparing resources and materials as needed.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them to understand concepts, complete tasks, and reinforce learning.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment, adhering to all school policies and procedures.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) or those requiring additional assistance, under the guidance of the teacher.
  • Observe and report on student progress, behaviour, and development to the class teacher, contributing to assessment and planning.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their self-esteem, confidence, and independence.
  • Assist with classroom management, encouraging good behaviour and a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Support during breaks, lunchtimes, and extracurricular activities as required.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
