Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately inputting and updating a high volume of diverse data into various internal databases and systems.
  • Verifying data for errors and inconsistencies, diligently correcting and resolving discrepancies where necessary.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and security of sensitive information, adhering to data protection policies.
  • Preparing and sorting documents for data entry, ensuring proper categorisation and indexing.
  • Compiling, verifying accuracy, and sorting information from source data to prepare it for computer entry.
  • Performing regular data backups to ensure data preservation and integrity.
  • Communicating effectively with other departments to resolve data discrepancies and gather missing information.
  • Assisting with general administrative tasks as required, including filing, scanning, and organising documents.

Required Skills

  • Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data handling.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective internal liaison.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a strong willingness to learn new systems and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
  • Previous experience in a data entry, administrative, or office support role (even if informal or voluntary).
  • Familiarity with database software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Touch-typing skills or proven fast and accurate typing speed.
