Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and support resolution efforts.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing procedures, assisting with journal entries and accruals.
- Support the finance team in preparing financial statements, reports, and various analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
- Verify financial data and resolve discrepancies by researching and correcting errors promptly.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and ensure data consistency across the organization.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial information and records, adhering to data privacy regulations.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and assignments as required by the finance leadership, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices (e.g., debits, credits, financial statements).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an aptitude for numbers.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, suitable for a professional environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship or part-time work experience in an accounting or finance department is a significant advantage.
