Job Description
Deloitte Nigeria is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our dynamic team in Asokoro, Abuja. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with limited experience to gain practical experience in a professional accounting environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior accountants and will be involved in a variety of accounting tasks, gaining exposure to different aspects of the accounting cycle. The role involves working on diverse projects, assisting with financial statement preparation, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will be involved in data entry, reconciliation, and analysis of financial transactions. Furthermore, you will support the team in budget preparation and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts
- Prepare and process journal entries
- Assist with the annual audit process
- Support budget preparation and analysis
- Contribute to the development of internal controls
- Perform account analysis and identify anomalies
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements
