Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrician’s Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of basic electrical principles and practices, be eager to learn, and work well both independently and as part of a team. This role involves assisting experienced electricians in a variety of tasks, contributing to the maintenance and repair of electrical systems across our facilities. This position offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and development within a dynamic and expanding organization. Daily duties will include but are not limited to assisting with installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems, preparing tools and materials for jobs, keeping work areas clean and organized, following all safety regulations, and adhering to company policies and procedures. The role offers substantial hands-on experience and opportunities for skill enhancement under the guidance of senior electricians, laying a strong foundation for a successful career in the electrical trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting experienced electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
- Preparing tools, materials, and equipment for electrical work
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Following all safety regulations and company policies
- Learning and applying new electrical skills and techniques
- Troubleshooting basic electrical problems
- Supporting the team in completing projects on time and within budget
- Assisting with inspections and testing of electrical systems
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of electrical principles
- Ability to read and interpret basic electrical diagrams
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow safety regulations
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training in electrical work
- Previous experience as an electrician's assistant or similar role
- Valid trade certification
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations
