Job Description

Nestoil Limited is seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Electrician for a temporary project on an industrial site. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise to a critical infrastructure project, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and safety regulations. You will work closely with our project team, adhering to strict timelines and quality standards, contributing directly to the successful completion of the project. This position requires a professional with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly, identifying and rectifying electrical faults promptly, and performing preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting systems on an industrial site.
  • Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices (e.g., ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Identify and resolve electrical problems with industrial machinery and control systems promptly.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to determine the proper layout of wiring and equipment.
  • Ensure all electrical work adheres to national electrical codes, company standards, and safety regulations.
  • Install conduits, pull wires, and connect electrical panels, switches, and other components.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other project personnel to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Adhere strictly to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety protocols.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, control panels, and automation.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with relevant electrical codes (e.g., NFPA 70E, IEE Wiring Regulations) and safety standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose complex electrical issues.
  • Competence in using a variety of electrical testing equipment.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity for working in various industrial environments.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on project-based assignments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certification or diploma in Electrical Installation, Industrial Electrics, or related field.
  • Trade test certification (e.g., Trade Test I, II, III).
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Valid professional license or registration, if applicable.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Previous experience working on oil and gas or heavy industrial projects.
